PILP Sends Advocacy Letter on Behalf of Man Suffering from Opioid Use Disorder

The Pennsylvania Institutional Law Project (PILP), has sent a letter to Pennsylvania Department of Corrections (“DOC”) officials on behalf of Anthony Day, a man who has been incarcerated in the Pennsylvania DOC since 2005, and at SCI Albion since 2016. PILP urges the DOC to take immediate action to prevent further harm and long-term injury to Mr. Day by providing him with agonist Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (“MOUD”), specifically buprenorphine in the form of Sublocade or Suboxone. Read the full letter here.
